Having initially emerged as a newcomer in the Summer of 2017 with "Khnum / Decadence" alongside Manu, Detached Audio now proudly presents K2T's debut EP, “Starscape”. From his beginnings on the label, K2T has quickly risen through the ranks, having collaborated with fellow label mates ob:verse, Option, and Sirus, worked on several remixes, and released his first solo tune ‘Reckoning’ on the foremost of Detached Audio’s various artist album series, “Detachism”. This EP sees K2T go completely solo, and showcases the depth and breadth of his sound.

Breath-taking pianos and atmospherics through the title track 'Starscape' open the EP with a beautiful liquid drum & bass tune that's perfect for home and on the go listening, as well as bringing energy to the dancefloor. Slowing down the tempo, 'Écarlate' follows with catchy piano hooks and basslines to form a quirky, retro track that smoothly leads into ‘In The Lakes’ with an ambient pad that drops into a dark stepper packed with attitude.

Demonstrating his versatility, K2T also displays his ability to delve into other genres effortlessly by way of a laid-back, alternate hip hop version of 'Starscape' as an interlude. 'Depths' carries the energy back up on mysterious pads backed with bells that give rise to a unique track which still conveys K2T's signature style. Penultimate track, 'The Idealist', sees K2T stripping his sound down with gentle strings and pianos, backed with a drum & bass beat and rolling bassline, bringing the EP towards its last notes with a stunningly delicate touch. Experimental ambient artist MUDAZE gives us a gorgeous remix of ‘Starscape’ to smoothly wrap up a truly diverse EP.

K2T has shown that as a solo artist, he can create a body of work that explores a wide range of styles while simultaneously displaying his signature touch, resulting in an EP that can be enjoyed not just by fans of Drum & Bass, but fans of electronic music in general.
